Oracle Red Bull Racing travels to Singapore aiming to continue its recent upswing in form. After two strong results on low-downforce circuits, the team now faces the very different challenge of the Marina Bay street circuit.
Verstappen: “Unfinished business”
Max Verstappen believes the demanding layout and conditions will test both car and driver.
“The last two races have been great for the Team; we made strong progress and found a positive set-up,” Verstappen said. “Singapore is very different and more of a test. It’s physically demanding and about getting comfortable with the uncomfortable. I’ve never won here, so you could say there is unfinished business. We need a strong Team performance.”
Tsunoda motivated by home support
Yuki Tsunoda also underlined the team’s progress and sees Marina Bay as a new challenge.
“Last time out was super positive and the hard work we’re doing is paying off,” Tsunoda said. “Singapore is tough with the humidity, night race and street circuit, but that’s what makes it exciting. I visited the factory ahead of this race and also stopped in Tokyo with Red Bull. Being close to my home fans gives me extra motivation this weekend.”
One of F1’s toughest tests
The Singapore Grand Prix, run under the lights in extreme humidity, is considered one of the most demanding races of the season. With Red Bull back on form, Verstappen will be aiming for his first victory at Marina Bay, while Tsunoda looks to continue his upward momentum.
