Max Verstappen believes a more stable set-up with Red Bull's tricky
RB21 F1 car could continue to yield major benefits for Yuki
Tsunoda. Since being promoted from Racing Bulls ahead of the third
race of the season, Tsunoda has struggled at the team. Before the
last race in Baku, he had scored just nine points, which included a
seven-race drought. Ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, Red Bull
introduced a new floor onto its car, propelling Verstappen to
victory from pole position around the low-downforce Monza circuit.
Tsunoda, however, was kept waiting for that component. A fortnight
later in Baku, with the floor on Tsunoda's car, the Japanese driver
scored his best result of the season, starting and finishing sixth
to jump two places in the drivers' standings. It was a venue where
Verstappen threw himself back into the title races with another win
from pole, albeit he remains 69 points adrift of championship
leader Oscar Piastri, with 199 points still available. Verstappen,
though, feels the recent upgrades on the car should continue to
help not only himself, but also Tsunoda, whose seat for next year
has still not been confirmed. Asked what made the RB21 so tricky to
drive, speaking to the media, including RacingNews365 , Verstappen
said: "It is difficult to say. "Throughout the season, we have been
going a bit left and right with the setup, and I feel like now we
are starting to be more stable with the behaviour of the car. "I
hope that will help both drivers because it is not always easy to
jump in the car when it is unpredictable or not doing what you
want. "Then, with the field being so close, one or two-tenths, you
can be through to Q2 or out in Q1. It is a very, very competitive
field at the moment.  "So now, at the coming races, hopefully with
the car being in a more stable window, it will help both drivers."
