Pietro Fittipaldi has announced he has joined Cadillac as a
development driver and has already been in the simulator.
Fittipaldi, who made two grand prix starts for Haas in the 2020
Sakhir and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix as the replacement for the injured
Romain Grosjean, has driven in a variety of series, including WEC
and IndyCar, whilst also maintaining an occasional F1 testing
programme. On social media, the grandson of two-time world champion
Emerson revealed that he had "been working on the development of
the 2026 car through sim testing and full GP simulations" over the
previous months. Cadillac's race drivers for 2026 will be Valtteri
Bottas and Sergio Perez, with former IndyCar driver Colton Herta
serving as a test driver whilst he competes in FIA F2 to earn the
necessary superlicence points. 1973376302846468118 I’m very proud
to finally share that I’ve joined @Cadillac_F1 ! Over past few
months, we’ve been working together on the development of the
team’s 2026 F1 car through sim testing and full GP simulations.
It’s a privilege to be part of a brand as iconic as Cadillac!
