Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were forced to drive home to
Monaco after being diverted to Italy during their return from the
Azerbaijan GP. The Ferrari and Williams drivers, who finished ninth
and third respectively, are former team-mates, having served at the
Scuderia between 2021-2024, and often travel to and from grands
prix together. After the Baku race, the pair and their entourages
boarded a private jet flight from Heydar Aliyev International
Airport, bound for Nice's Cote d'Azur. However, the flight, which
lasted just under five hours never made it to France, instead
diverting to Genoa in Italy after bad weather made landing at the
original destination impossible. Stranded a few hours away from
home, the duo did what any reasonable pair of F1 drivers would do
in such a situation in order to get themselves home… Check out
