For all his success in F1, one of the more remarkable statistics
about Max Verstappen is that he has never won the Singapore Grand
Prix – and only led three laps.  Of the 24 tracks on the calendar
this season, Verstappen has won at 23 of them, and won at 30 tracks
overall, placing him just one behind Lewis Hamilton's record of 31
different venues won at. This year, Singapore marks a crucial test
for Verstappen and his resurgent Red Bull after victories in Italy
and Azerbaijan.  The RB21 has been a better machine in low
downforce configuration throughout the year, but Verstappen's title
credentials are set for their toughest exam at his bogey circuit.
Should Verstappen be able to win and take even more points out of
Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris to further reduce Piastri's 69-point
advantage, then it is truly game on in the title race. Below,
RacingNews365 takes a look at Verstappen's record in Singapore, as
he aims to break the curse at Marina Bay this weekend.  Max
Verstappen results in Singapore Of his seven finishes in Singapore,
Verstappen's average position is 4.7, with the Dutchman only
scoring one podium in the ground effects era. That came in 2024,
with Singapore 2023 marking the race which ended his
record-breaking 10 successive wins on a weekend Red Bull's RB19 was
disastrously off the pace, leaving him 11th in qualifying and fifth
in the race. In 2022, Verstappen was set for pole position, being
well up on Charles Leclerc's pole lap, before being told to abort
the lap owing to a shortage of fuel, leaving him eighth on the
grid, and only seventh in the race. Verstappen's only DNF at Marina
Bay came in 2017, when he was sandwiched between Sebastian Vettel
and Kimi Raikkonen at the start of the first wet race in the
event's history. Will Max Verstappen finally triumph at the
Singapore Grand Prix? Let us know what you think by voting below in
